A fantastic lunch at Sorgam, Crimson Chakra:

Absolute pleasure to have food at Sorgam, Couldnt decide what was better, the food or hospitality!

Started with a refreshing welcome drink that was close to Paanakam.

The visual display of starters arrived. Quite similar to the military hotels, the dishes were brought in a tray for us to choose from. Since they were covered with plastic foil, couldn't really get that realistic feel. 

We ordered -

Aattu Nalli charu, served one by two

Mutton Kola 1pc 

Vaazha Elai Meen Varuval,

Chicken Money Bags 

Andhra Chilli Chicken, 

Pacha Milagai Kozhi, 

Nei Choru,

Kongunaadu Chicken Kuzhambu,

small tasting portion of fish gravy,

Smoked Chicken Rice,

Elaneer souffle.

The highlight of the meal for me was Pacha Milagai Kozhi, wonderful soft chicken bursting with flavors! Chicken Money Bags was a fusion of continental and South-Indian. Nei choru was very good while the Kongunaadu Chicken Kuzhambu was okay.. Gravy lacked the punch and the Chicken pieces were hard. Their Signature Smoked Chicken Rice was a stunner! 

I love the smoky aroma in this dish. Parceled two Smoked Paneer Rice home and family loved it too. Finally, the Elaneer souffle, brilliant! This used to be my dessert love until Gossip Bistro also came up with a similar dessert. I like both equally!

Overall, a fantastic lunch ! Paid a little less than 2K in all after a discount of 20%, we weren't charged for Chicken gravy as we had given a feedback on the taste. Chicken Money Bags and 1 pc Kola was on the house in spite of insisting to pay. Loved the lunch, service and the company too!

One Liner, i loved it totally! A fantastic satisfying Sunday lunch at Thahira Hotel, Kanchipuram! Being a Sunday, and Pongal festival round the corner, the town was just chaotic! Traffic all over. We struggled to drive, forget parking! A huge crowd waiting to be seated. Biryani parcelled in Mandaral Ilai was disappearing at lightning speed!
